What's it about?
This site publicises the type of work I trade in.
Like many others I jumped on the property wagon as soon as I could and have been buying, renovating and selling property on and off for a long time. While waiting for each project to sell I offer my services as a general handyman to residents in the Bristol (UK) 6,7 and 9 postal areas, and I write software systems which I will get around to selling on the net, but are aimed at helping me manage my business.
I also work as a freelance software developer, usually for about six months a year (IBM mainframes, *nix, Wintel, for the last 22 years), and although most of my enterprise clients have moved on to using more exotic business technologies, the language and methodology I use is perfect for producing web enabled database solutions for the smaller business market.
I occasionally like to put fingers to keyboard, imagination into gear, and write stories purely for my pleasure. They're not very good…
To help with my property renovations I wrote the 'Property Renovators Organiser' which stores and manages all the paperwork, emails, messages, contacts, budgets, task scheduling, costs management, profit analysis, etc. Pro was followed up with the 'Property Inspection Reporter' (PIR) which helps with identifying the work required and costs involved in undertaking a project at the property viewing stage. It helps with tasking, estimating, and finding a balance between the sale price and the desired profit required of the project.
As the property market is still not moving I decided to write the E-book Project Manager (EPM) to help me with creating a storyline and plot thats not full of inconsistencies. It also creates e-books using the .pub format and in line, as much as possible, with the Dyslexia style guide.
Anyway…
Please feel free to roam the site. If you have any comments or questions please mail me. If you live locally to me and need a handyman then please give me a call or mail me, I could always do with the work. Unfortunately, I can't include a mailing form on this site as when I once did… Well, I just don't need that much viagra, and somehow don't think I have that many cousins that have won the lottery an want to give me some dosh.
It's been a pleasure, take care, have fun and thanks for visiting.
Best regards,
